About Me

Tracy Brown grew up in Potomac, Maryland and now lives in both Vail, Colorado and Charlotte, North Carolina. She is happiest hiking in the mountains on a warm summer day, skiing on a cold winter day, or relaxing with a good book.

In 1986, Tracy graduated with a BA in English from Brown University and in 1990 from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law. She received a graduate certificate from the Children’s Lit Fellowship program at Stony Brook University. Tracy serves on the Executive Board of the Jewish Book Council.

Tracy has been a bookworm since childhood, often getting scolded for staying up too late with a Nancy Drew book and a flashlight under her covers. Tracy lives with her husband Larry and has three grown children, Sammy (and his fiancé Megan), Annie, and Katie. And don’t forget about the Brown family dogs—Socks, Ollie, Penny Lane, and Kacey!
